"Meet the Pastor"
Gregg Parisher - Pastor
Pastor Gregg was raised in a Christian home. His father was the pastor of Bethel Baptist Church in Hampton, VA for thirty-five years before he retired. At age 14, he began playing the banjo and guitar and enjoys both classical and gospel bluegrass music. He went into the U. S. Army at the age of nineteen and served for four years. After the Army, he was married to Christine. God has blessed them with three children: Laura, B. J., and Jared. In 1990, he received a B.A. in Practical Christian Training from Bob Jones University. Shortly after, he worked with his father in the ministry at Bethel Baptist Church. He has served as a missionary and was the Pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Woodland, NC for 6 ½ years. He began his pastorate of Rural Point Baptist Church in December 2007.
